STUDENT DEVELOPMENT CELL

 

The Student Development Cell (SDC) is a department in JK Business School that focus on the overall development of students. The main objective of the SDC is to ensure that students have access to the resources and support they need to develop academically, personally, and professionally.

SDC in JKBS has three dimensions which provide a holistic development opportunity for students which are: –

 

Mentoring: –

SDC also provides counseling and guidance services to students who need assistance with their academic or personal issues. The SDC is a safe space where students can discuss their problems with their mentors who can offer advice, support, and resources to help them overcome their challenges.

Functions: –

The SDC also acts as a bridge between students and the administration, via Executive members selected among the students based on certain criteria, representing the interests and concerns of the student body. The SDC works closely with the administration to ensure that students have access to the resources and facilities they need to succeed in their academic pursuits.

Cultural: –

The SDC is responsible for organizing various activities, workshops, and events that help students develop their skills and interests. These activities may include seminars on career development, guest lectures from industry experts, leadership workshops, skill-building sessions, and club activities. SDCs also provide opportunities for students to participate in cultural, sports, extracurricular activities, maintaining soft boards, launching the newsletter “Pratibimb”.
